About the Magpies

Magpies Mackay AFC inc is one of Mackay's youngest clubs and was born out of the Andergrove Kangaroos Junior Football Club in 2013 by way of an affiliation with Magpies Sporting Club.

In Season 2019 Magpies fielded grades in U6, U8, U10, U12, U14, U17, Reserves, Senior Womens and Senior Mens, with the U12, Senior Womens and Senior Mens all making the finals. The Womens making it to their 5th straight Grand Final appearance, but unfortunately going down narrowly to the opposition, and leaving them with 4 Premierships from 5 Grand Finals which is currently a league record.

Magpies in the community
We are a Happy Family club with a good positive culture and embrace our community and this year marched as a club in the annual Anzac Day March.

Added to this we are also a partner of the "Out of the Locker Room" program to further offer help and assistance to our club members. We also took the initiative to raise funds for Motor Neuron Disease (MND)following on from the "The Big Freeze at the G", by holding or very own Chill Factor Challenge and Blue Tie Charity Ball. Over the past 2 seasons we have raised approximately $80k for MND Queensland and in conjunction with Magpies Sporting Club we now offer a support group in Mackay for MND sufferers and their families.
